there might be cake
yesterday, waiting in one of the two on-the-same-street blue state coffee shops for a meeting; the person I was waiting for was waiting for me at the other one, of course, because apparently I was insufficiently clear in explaining which one I thought we’d agreed to for the meeting.  
then I called him, but even that was complicated because even though I now have two cell phones, neither would get a signal, so I had to call three times from outside in the cold and then they found him and he came down the street to me and then we met.
While I was waiting, I used three pens to edit a document that he didn’t come to discuss; he had another thing he wanted to look at altogether.
